So. Here we are, 86% of our visitors think it’s a good idea to publish our stories in English from now on. Well, here it goes…
I’m still a bit wobbly about it, so I’ll keep it short. The video I’m about to post is American and, as such, most of it’s content applies specifically to the United States. But that doesn’t mean there are no lessons in it for us, Europeans. Because we too, have fallen victim to the ruthless advertising campaign against tap water. Most of the people I spoke to since I started writing about the bottled-water-hysteria, actually do believe that bottled water is better for your health. Some of them even said they drank bottled water because it made them feel they we’re doing the right thing, environmentally.
Of course, drinking water is better for your health than drinking alcohol (actually, almost everything is healthier than drinking alcohol, but that’s another story), soda’s, coffee or even milk. But there’s absolutely no reason to think that bottled water is better than tap water. The only ground for that disturbing thought is “manufactured demand” and that’s what this video is all about.
