H.E. Pennypacker

Biography

As a young boy, growing up in Amsterdam, Pennypacker always ran around the house imitating his favorite band: ‘The Rolling Stones’. After a few years of imitating the Stones in the living room with a broom, his father decided to take him to a concert. Seeing Mick Jagger and his band play onstage Pennypacker knew what his life goal would be: Play in front of a crowd and let them hear sound like they never heard before. A few years later he decided to buy a guitar, but soon found out that this wasn’t the way to get where he wanted to go.

At the age of 13, after his sister introduced him to the world of dj’ing, he bought his first turntables and records. After some years of playing techno Pennypacker started developing his own sound. Which is a blend between Disco, House and Techno. Around this time he met with Carnivale founder Ben Komor at an after party somewhere in Amsterdam. Immediately the two started talking about the finer things in life and found they had a similar taste in music. The two exchanged numbers and after a few months Ben and Jop asked if he was interested in playing on the first Club Carnivale night.
